Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover both (a) the free text-cleanup and AI utilities available on this marketing site and (b) the paid GPTCleanup subscription app accessible at www.gptcleanup.com/dashboard. Where a section references "subscriptions", "billing", or "paid features", it applies to the dashboard app. Other sections apply to all users.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GPT CLEAN UP ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and GPTCleanup ("Company", "we", "us").

2. Description of Service

GPT CLEAN UP provides:

• Free marketing tools: Web utilities to remove hidden Unicode characters and HTML attributes from text, particularly text generated by AI systems like ChatGPT.
• Paid subscription app (Dashboard): AI-powered text rewriting and humanization services that modify the linguistic patterns of submitted text, accessible at /dashboard.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. You expressly acknowledge that:

• The paid Service uses probabilistic AI models that may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or nonsensical output.
• We make NO WARRANTY that output will be undetectable by any AI detection tool (including but not limited to Turnitin, GPTZero, Originality.ai, Copyleaks).
• Detection algorithms are updated frequently by third parties beyond our control.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all output before any use.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation
• Use the Service to engage in academic dishonesty, cheating, plagiarism, or violation of any educational institution's honor code
• Use the Service for fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise the system integrity or security, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Service
• Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the site
• Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device, process, or means to access the Service for any purpose
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our proprietary systems
• Engage in automated or bulk access without express written permission

WE DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY for any academic penalties, professional consequences, legal actions, or other damages resulting from your use of the Service. You assume full responsibility for compliance with all applicable policies and laws.

4. Subscriptions & Pricing

Use of the paid Dashboard app requires a valid paid subscription or other paid access plan. Current subscription options, included usage allowances, and billing intervals are displayed on the pricing interface and at the time of checkout.

• All subscriptions are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle.
• Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes.
• Existing customers with prior billing history may remain eligible for legacy pricing while available in Stripe.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
• Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store credit card numbers.

5. Cancellation Policy

• Cancel anytime: You may cancel your subscription at any time via Account Settings or the Stripe billing portal.
• Access until period end: Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current paid billing period.
• No partial refunds: Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for any unused portion of your subscription.
• Resubscription: You may resubscribe at any time under the subscription terms then offered at checkout.

6. Refund Policy — All Sales Final

ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.

We do NOT offer refunds for:

• Dissatisfaction with output quality
• Detection by AI detectors (this is an inherent risk you accept)
• Unused subscription time
• Change of mind after purchase
• Academic or professional consequences from your use

Refunds are ONLY considered for:

• Verified duplicate charges (same transaction charged twice)
• Technical billing errors on our end

7. Intellectual Property & User Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of GPT CLEAN UP and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

• You retain ownership of text you submit ("Input") and receive ("Output").
• By submitting Input, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process it for Service delivery.
• You warrant that you have all necessary rights to any text you submit.
• Free marketing tools process text client-side or in stateless requests, and do not retain text after your session ends.
• The Dashboard app's "Memory System" may store patterns from your usage to personalize future results, linked to your account. See our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected. We make no warranty that AI-generated output will be undetectable, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GPTCLEANUP AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, REPUTATION, ACADEMIC STANDING, EMPLOYMENT, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, WHETHER ARISING FROM CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE THIRTY (30) DAYS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM. FOR USERS OF FREE TOOLS WHO HAVE NOT PAID US ANY AMOUNT, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GPT CLEAN UP and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Service.

11. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, without notice, for violation of these Terms.
• Termination for cause does not entitle you to any refund.
• We may terminate the Service entirely with 30 days' notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by GPT CLEAN UP. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Material changes to subscription terms will be notified via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. For free-tool users, changes are effective when posted; what constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to a jury trial or participation in a class action lawsuit.

15. Educational Purposes Disclaimer and Brand Affiliation

Educational Use Only: The free marketing tools and content provided by GPT CLEAN UP are intended solely for educational purposes and are not to be used for any other reason, purpose, or intent. Users acknowledge and agree that the free Service is provided exclusively for educational and informational purposes.

Brand Names and Trademarks: All mentions of brand names, trademarks, service marks, trade names, company names, product names, and logos (collectively, "Brand Names") on this website are made solely for educational and informational purposes. Such mentions are not intended to indicate any form of endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, partnership, or approval by or with the owners of such Brand Names. We do not intend to infringe upon, violate, or misappropriate any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

No Affiliation: GPT CLEAN UP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, partnered with, or associated with any of the brands, companies, services, or entities mentioned on this website. All Brand Names are the exclusive property of their respective owners, and we make no claim to ownership of any such Brand Names.
